IT'S NOW UP TO THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE

By DELL ARTHUR

Tomorrow, December 19, 2016 will finally end the most contentious presidential election in recent history. Following the election of Donald Trump on November 8, 538 official electors representing their individual states will meet at their respective capitals and cast their votes for the 45th President of the United States. This group, known as the Electoral College, will have the final say as to who actually is the legitimate president.

Critics of this system say that the majority of voters should be the standard as to who wins the White House. They say that since Hillary Clinton won some 3,000,000 votes over Trump she should be declared the winner of the campaign. But on closer look the majority would represent only power cities as in California, New York, and Chicago as well as a few smaller localities that harbor far-left wing liberals who insist that the rest of the country submit to their own particular ideas and devices.

If the Electoral College should be abolished then the majority of the 50 states would have absolutely no say as to is elected as President.

The way the system is set up by our forefathers, every vote does count but to offset the power of concentrated areas as Hollywood, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Chicago and other such metropolitan principalities the system of electors was instituted. The benefit is that small or less populated states would have an equal say as to who their President should be.

That is why Trump campaigned so heavily in states as West Virginia, Arizona, Utah, Wisconsin and Michigan. The reason he did not put a lot of effort in California was because he knew that the state would never support him and all of its 55 electors would cast their votes for Hillary Clinton. As it turned out the final electoral vote was 306 for Trump and 232 for Clinton. The democrats were beaten at their own game!

So on Monday electors are supposed to cast their ballots for whoever won their state. That means Trump, who won 30 states, and Clinton, who won 19 states should benefit only by the obligation and desire of their individual state voters. But there is an anomaly to what should be the voter’s preference—many states have no formal obligation for an elector to cast their vote in line with the people’s choice. They can in fact, vote for anyone they want including Hillary Clinton. And this is exactly what the Democrats are counting on!

Going back to the Presidential debates between Trump and Clinton, he was asked if he would support the vote of the people. His response was that, if there was a question as to the illegitimate tally of votes he might not if he lost. Clinton jumped on him and fumed how awful it would be not to accept the outcome of the campaign. The thing she didn’t count on was Trump’s capturing one of the largest numbers of electoral votes in anyone’s memory even though she won the majority of votes thanks to the liberal big cities!

So now what has happened? All sorts of challenges have been tossed around by Clinton supporters hoping to throw a monkey wrench into the final Electoral College vote. Members of the College have been bombarded with pleas from the liberal left begging that they not vote their state’s preference. Big time Hollywood celebrities as Martin Sheen, Whoopi Goldberg, Mike Farrell and other breast beating liberals who make up the majority of alleged actors, have promoted television ads asking the American people to contact their state electors and tell them not to cast their vote for Trump.

Clinton herself has jumped on this bandwagon along with her close campaign adviser John Podesta. It was his and other hacked Democratic emails that were released for public consumption that showed exactly how ruthless, deceiving and lying all of them were willing to go in order to get Hillary elected. The emails showed how they buried Bernie Sanders and drummed up all sorts of false accusations against Trump.

The funny thing about the “hacked” emails is that nobody has ever challenged the truthful information they contained!

Only one GOP Electoral College representative publically said he would not cast his vote for Trump. Chris Suprum, a Texas firefighter, said he might cast his vote for Clinton. One thing for sure he won’t be voting for Trump. Apparently he forgot that Trump carried Texas fairly easily. However Suprum believes he has no responsibility to the people who chose him as an elector. He may want to keep his day job.

In order for the Electoral College to choose another person over Trump would require 37 electors switching their votes. However, even if some were to do so there is no guarantee that they would vote for Hillary. But if there was a tie then the final determination would be left to the United States Congress. Since the majority of congressmen are Republicans Trump would be home free.

But the smoke screen continues. The Russians are now accused of tampering with the election but regardless of the alleged interference it would have no bearing on the voting process. No one has disputed the count except Jill Stein, a virtual unknown until she filed as a Presidential candidate, who managed to get some big-time spenders as George Soros, to put up millions of dollars for a recount in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The count in Wisconsin got underway and found that a recount showed Trump increasing his lead! So much for the recount. Both Michigan and Pennsylvania have now dismissed any further action.

But even if it proved correct that Russia had a role in interfering in the election it only proved that the democratic process of our system can and does counter such an attempt.

By Monday evening all the newscasters will swallow their disappointment and announce that Donald Trump is officially the 45th President of the United States.

Only one thing is lacking: all those “celebrities” who have whined about the result of Trump’s victory and vowed to leave for Canada have so far not bought an airline ticket. Is anyone interested in contributing to their air fare?

TRUMP'S PICKS PROVEN WINNERS FOR HIS CABINET

By DELL ARTHUR

They are shaping up as the “A Team.”

Soon to be inaugurated s President of the United States, Donald J. Trump is assembling what appears to be the most potent cabinet of modern times. As one of the most successful businessmen in current history, Trump is adding to his list of equally successful men and women in their own fields to join with him in making “America Great again.”

Opponents and distracters to Trump’s picks are making loud their objections—and maybe they have cause, especially with the selection of Sen. Jeff Sessons as the new Attorney General. Their fear may rest in the knowledge that there will no longer be a firewall at the current Attorney General’s office now held by Clinton-Obama’s reliable cohort Loretta Lynch. Issues that would have been dead on arrival it Hillary had won the election most likely will be re-examined.

Most notably the Federal Bureau of Investigation into Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Foundation continues to be scrutinized for illegal practices. In addition there is still the accusation of Hillary’s alleged “Pay to Play” during her stint as Secretary of State. It is a sure bet that if the FBI were to make a recommendation to prosecute on either grounds Sessons would be on board.

And there is the matter of national security. The most recent selection of retired Marine four-star general James Mattis as Secretary of Defense couldn’t stir the fear of America’s enemies more. Mattis during his more than 45 year military service earned the nickname “Mad Dog” from his devoted troops and is regarded to be by Trump as a modern “Patton.” This alone makes him remarkable associates say and he has been a proven winner.

But this is only the beginning of staffing the elect-President’s department heads.

Starting off with the selection of Pernice Prebus who was chairman of the Republican National Committee as his Chief of Staff, Trump has tapped into the inner workings of the Republican Party in bringing unity to the partnership.

The appointment of Congressman Dr. Tom Price as Secretary of Health and Human Services is a blow to soon to be past president Barack Obama’s “affordable health care” that has proven a disaster to medical care. As a congressman Price submitted revisions to Obama’s “Obama care” for the past seven years without success. Now in the driver’s seat and with the aid of both President-elect Trump and a Republican congress and senate, major overhaul will most likely take center stage.

The same can be said for education. Trump made an early promise to restore control of education to the states and local communities. His nomination of Betsy DeVos as Secretary of the Department of Education is a blow to the American Federation of Teachers. She is determined to put the education of children first. As proponent of charter schools, DeVos believes that public education should teach not advocate. And this makes the teacher unions more than nervous.

And now Dr. Ben Carson made his decision accepting the job as head of the Housing and Urban Development post. One critic of his appointment is Democratic Nancy Pelosi. She said that Carson appeared to be lacking in knowledge of minority needs. She apparently forgets that Carson started out in life living in project housing in near poverty.

Going down the line of cabinet picks are Governor Nikki Haley as Ambassador to the United Nations, Elaine Chao as Secretary of Transportation and is no newcomer to Washington D.C. She formally held the job of Secretary of Labor under George W. Bush, and by all accounts did a masterful job.

But the biggest criticism has come from the Democrats at the selection of Steve Mnchin as Secretary of Treasury and Wilbur Ross as Secretary of Commerce. Those voicing objection claim that since both men come from Goldman Sachs they are tainted. However both have fortunes of their own and their business abilities are an asset to their new jobs. In addition they come to government rich rather than leaving government rich as the Clinton’s.

But the job isn’t finished. There are positions still to be filled including Secretary of State (Romney?), Secretary of Homeland Security, (Sheriff Dave Clark?) and Secretary of Interior, (John Bolton?). In addition there are other cabinet positions open including Secretary of the Veterans Administration; Secretary of Agriculture, Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Energy.

Could any of these jobs interest the likes of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani or Chris Christi? The only problem with Christi is the recent felony conviction of two of his top aides over the “Bridgegate” scandal that he was allegedly associated with. Only time will tell if either one is selected.

Regardless, both Giuliani and Christi have experience, loyalty and determination. It is a sure bet that both will be included in some position that will take advantage of their abilities.
Once the cabinet selections are completed Trump will no doubt make his nomination of a Supreme Justice known. He has already said he wants s judge of the same caliber and philosophy as the late Justice Anthony Scalia.

Looking over the list of those who have accepted positions in the Trump cabinet both critics and enthusiasts agree that the selections so far amount to a true “A-team.” So with four years to prove his appointments Trump will likely fulfill his promise to “Make America Great Again!”

CRY ROOMS FOR TRUMP OPPONENTS

It has been over two weeks now since the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the United States. But you wouldn’t think so watching the national news. Following the election results liberals went ballistic! The so-called “millennia’s” attending some of the most expensive universities in the country (mostly at parents expense), found it necessary to take shelter in cry rooms, drinking hot chocolate, scribbling in color books and seeking the help of counselors.

On top of that many “professors” told students affected by emotional trauma as a result of the election that they need not have to take part in school tests. Apparently the only thing missing on college campuses were free pacifiers. Boy does higher education pay off or not?

But the disappointment of Trump’s election wasn’t restricted to college students. The streets of such cities as New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and many others was littered by anarchists who felt it was their duty, right and responsibility to destroy other people’s property. Businesses of every stripe felt the ire of these recalcitrant’s who roamed about smashing windows, burning and destroying cars, beating anyone who got in their way and stealing goods from stores—all in the name of personal freedom!

Many of these folks say they have a right to protest the election since Hillary Clinton apparently won the popular vote. But when these votes are tallied it appears they all came from heavily dominated regions as Southern California, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, New Jersey and Chicago. All of these cities have huge populations who traditionally vote liberal.

As a result of this these folks scream that it is time to abolish the Electoral College. They say that it is the popular vote that should decide any presidential election. But when you look at a map of the United States it becomes apparent that these areas supporting such an idea represent only a small part of the nation. If the Electoral College was to be replaced by a popular vote then that would be the end of any conservative opposition. The United States would be a one party government and you know where that would lead to—dictatorship!

States as North and South Dakota, New Hampshire, Kansas, Nebraska, Utah, Idaho, New Mexico, Arizona, Delaware and other small states would have no voice in any national election. Only the liberal elites would have the say as to who is elected.

Can you imagine Hollywood being the new capital of the United States? Very likely it could be if our voting system were to be changed to popular vote.

When looking at the states that voted conservative (Trump) you see a mass of red with nearly all of the west coast including California, Oregon and Washington State in blue. But when you look at the counties of these states you see a remarkable change. In California only the large cities represent blue, the eastern and northern part of the state is all red. You will find the same thing in Oregon and Washington State.

The question then becomes is it only the largest populations that has the say as to who has the right to govern?

In addition to this is the lack of participation of citizens. It is recorded that only about half of the American population who has the right to vote actually votes. The reason may be that they are simply disgusted with politicians and government in general. You hear complaints about too much government intervention in people’s lives and too many restrictions and too many silly laws. But these same people dodge their personal responsibility to vote for better government. It’s easier to complain and place the blame on the other guy!

It is interesting to note that those who took to the streets to burn, destroy and intimidate innocent people were either not registered to vote or didn’t bother to cast a ballot. Yet these same bullies wave their protest signs, yell slogans and march down public streets and highways spouting their venom and interfering with law abiding citizens.

And anyone who complains that law enforcement isn’t doing its job then it should be pointed out that during the year of 2016 some 120 police officers were killed in the line of duty. That adds up to two policemen or women died each week of the year!

In addition to this some college students don’t want any police person on their campus. Not a bad idea—until you need a cop!

By December 8, the Electoral College will meet and cast their votes for the next President of the United States. Don’t be surprised if the liberals don’t make a bid to interfere. Those electoral representatives are bound to their states decision and if they abide by their obligation then Donald J. Trump will take office on January 20, 2017.

Following his swearing in perhaps the thumb suckers, thugs and those who have been looking to the sky to see if it actually is falling, will come to their senses and get behind a man who loves our country and wants to make it great again.

HELLO MISTER PRESIDENT AND GOOD LUCK WE ALL NEED IT

            He did it!

No one saw it coming; pollsters, pundits and liberals of every stripe, especially Hillary Clinton, thought they had the presidential election in the bag. But they forgot one big exception-- the silent majority. And sure enough it was these folks that came out in droves to push Donald J. Trump across the finish line as the 45th President of the United States.

As a result of the election the dynasty of the Clinton and the Bush clans came to an end. No more White House family business, no more executive power, no more forcing issues as “Obama Care” down the throats of the American people. Tuesday’s election put the citizen’s faith in a non-politician with the hopes that he will “drain the swamp.”

It was a remarkable victory. Everyone from the print and television media to members of Trump’s own party tried to knock him off. But it didn’t work. The American people finally decided that they had enough of the career office holders and broke ranks. The citizens decided that they would take a gamble with an unknown candidate, roll the dice and see if he actually believes what he promised or if he will be just another political blow-hard.

The bets are that he will keep his promises made on the campaign trail. These promises include immigration, building the southern border wall, lowering taxes and overturning Obama Care and replacing it with a more effective and inexpensive plan. Trump also promised to strike down the over 2,000 executive orders that Obama penned in a blatant act of side-stepping the United States Congress. For the people Friday noon on January 20, 2017 can’t come fast enough.

The battle for the office of President was a bruising fight right down to the night before the election. Trump continued to stick on issues and hammer Hillary Clinton for her failures as a New York senator and Secretary of State. Her email problems also shadowed her by weekly releases of what she had thought were posts surreptitiously erased. But the thousands of alleged illegal emails gathered by Wikileaks continued to haunt her with the most embarrassing tidbits formally hidden from the American people.

One of the most damaging events occurred when Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey announced that the Bureau was taking another look at emails discovered on former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s lap top computer. The emails linked his wife, Huma Abedin, and her boss Hillary Clinton. The timing couldn’t have been better for Trump. Both Clinton and Abedin told the FBI under oath that every email they had was turned over to the investigators. This proved to be untrue.

Clinton lost her bid for the presidency not so much for running a poor campaign but more for her and husband Bill’s past corruption.  Most noted is the Clinton’s so called “charitable foundation.” According to the couple’s tax return about six per cent of all the millions donated to the foundation actually went to charitable causes. The rest of the money went for salaries, travel and other “expenses.” And there is still the accusation of “pay to play” of money taken from foreign governments in exchange for “favors.” These problems remain for the Clinton team and will no doubt be looked at by a new Department of Justice director.

Now that the election is over and a new Department of Justice person to be named, Clinton and her hubby can anticipate a more thorough investigation of their corrupt involvement. Current Director of Justice Loretta Lynch will be out of the picture and Hilleary’s firewall will be punched.

Some folks have commented that she would look great in a striped pants suit outfit. And there are a lot of federal jails that carry her size they claim. But don’t count on it. Yet it is a concern that will continue to dog the Clinton’s for some time into the future.

With the election of Trump a lot of folks are taking in a clean breath of fresh air. As an outsider and also a billionaire, he can’t be bought. It was refreshing to see him fly up to Washington, D.C., to meet personally for the first time the current office holder, Obama, and actually pay his own fuel costs out of his own pocket.

Trump’s contacts with Congressman Paul Ryan also show promise. It should be remembered that Ryan hesitated to climb aboard the Trump band wagon until the very last part of the campaign. It appeared obvious to everyone that they didn’t trade Christmas cards! But now that Trump is actually elected to the office of President of the United States it appears that many of those reluctant Republicans are now coalescing behind the new President and are prepared to hit the ground running immediately following Trump’s swearing in.

There are several things on Trump’s promise notes that are sure to hit home.

One item has serious ramifications especially for cities that decide that they can ignore federal law. There are cities as Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Denver and several others who call themselves “sanctuary cities.” These cities don’t allow federal officers to arrest or take into custody illegal criminals who continue to do harm to American citizens. Trump has said he will end federal funding to any city that continues to harbor these criminals.

In Seattle the mayor, Ed Murray, the first outspoken homosexual to hold office, said that he would ignore Trump’s threat and couldn’t care less about losing federal funding for any project.

The people of Seattle may not like such an arrangement and Mayor Murray may find himself in hot water with his constituents. But don’t count on it; as far as liberalism is concerned Seattle has written the book.

So, as far as the election of an unknown to the Presidency of the United States is concerned this just may be the thing that will result in truly “draining the swamp.”

Let’s hope so and congratulations to Donald J. Trump. He is indeed the Man of the Hour.

IS IT TOO LITTLE AND TOO LATE? MAYBE NOT

By this time next week the United States will have a new President. Who that will be is still in the air but with the few days left to campaign it appears that Donald Trump is dramatically closing the gap.

The political pundits who are scoring a victory next week for Hillary Clinton apparently have not taken into account all the leaked Clinton emails by Winkileaks nor the reopened Federal Bureau of Investigation into her testimony under sworn oath.

Just a couple of weeks ago it appeared Clinton had the election in the bag. But with the discovery of unrelated pornographic information on a lap top computer owned by former Congressman Anthony Weiner (D), who was forced to resign because of his distasteful sexual appetite for young women, this information opened an entirely new can of worms for Clinton.

What started it all off was when Weiner allegedly was caught corresponding with a 15-year old girl that included pictures of his lower unclothed private parts. When this information came to light investigators confiscated the computer and after obtaining a court order started looking for evidence. Investigators were astonished to find that there was more Clinton email information on the hard drive than was divulged by court order.

The evidence they were looking for had nothing to do with any Clinton emails but since the computer was shared with Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, Clinton’s chief aide, the email information popped up.

Abedin is Clinton’s closest staffer and confident. Apparently Clinton sent (it is believed) classified State Department information to her via Clinton’s private server. When Abedin was questioned by FBI investigators she swore under oath that all email messages transmitted by her and Clinton had been turned over to the government. It appears however this isn’t exactly true. If the discovery of these secret emails proves that she lied then the roof of the prior investigation blows off.

The law is the law. Any manipulation by someone who intentionally tries to deceive a court order is subject to prosecution. It will be interesting if Clinton throws her closest friend under the bus. It will also be interesting if Aberdin fully cooperates with the FBI in order to save her own neck. If she does then Clinton, even though she may win the presidency, would be subject to a grand jury investigation and most likely indicted for a number of felonies.

If Clinton, should she win the election, face such a situation she would most likely be impeached or have to resign. Remembering back to Watergate, President Richard Nixon was forced to give up his office for much lesser reasons.

But there are those who believe that the Clinton’s are above the law. No matter what they do they will never see the inside of a jail.

Going back through Hillary Clinton’s career as a professional politician it is marked with one tragic happening after another. She can’t claim success in any of her activities either as First Lady, or United States Senator, or head of the United State’s State Department, or as a candidate for the office of the Presidency.

One need only to count the number of grave stones that can be attributed to her and husband Bill starting with Vince Foster who was one of her closest friends and associates when both were young lawyers with the Arkansas Rose Law firm. Foster, like many other troublesome “friends” of the Clinton’s, somehow found themselves “victims” of strange accidents that took their lives.

Some people believe Aberdin should make a careful check her car steering and brakes before going to the market for groceries!

And all of this adds fuel to Trump who is showing a remarkable comeback in the polls. He is finally learning to stick to the issues and hammer Clinton for her numerous and serious mistakes she has made over the past 30 years of political life. He is now focusing on Obama Care which is proving a disaster as forecast by those who opposed it in the first place. Obama Care is nothing but a refinement of Clinton’s health care idea that, thankfully, was defeated.

But this is only one part of her proposed agenda Trump points out. Hillary wants free college for everyone. Question is who pays for it? She has said the will impose a huge tax if elected to office. Who can afford it? She boasts that she will unite all Americans. How?

The list goes on and on and every answer falls short.

So, with the announcement of the reopening of the FBI email scandals how will this effect voters decisions this coming November 8?

Will there be a grand jury called regarding Weiner’s computer information and will his wife cough up any damaging information regarding her boss Hillary Clinton?

This is better than any television soap opera!

For Trump it may not be too late after all. So stay tuned in folks; the fireworks are just starting to get lit.

WILL THE SILENT MAJORITY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

In two weeks Americans will elect a new president. The last Presidential Debate is now in the history books and both sides claim victory. The campaign for both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton continues to wallow in the mud pit and nobody seems interested in important facts or the issues most urgent to the United States economically, socially, or what is most important to the welfare and safety of its people.

According to the pundits and poll takers it is all over for Trump so everyone should get used to four years of extended Obama care in all its facets. Yet there still may be a fly in the ointment; The Silent Majority.

Reviewing history November 3, 1948 proved a historical landmark. It was on this date that the Chicago Daily Tribune blazed the headline, “Dewey Defeats Truman.” Only one problem—Dewey lost!

Harry S Truman, a Democrat, was the incumbent president. He was elevated to the office of President of the United States after President Franklin D. Roosevelt suddenly died on April 12, 1945, during the later stages of World War Two. As the 32nd president, he had been elected to his fourth term and the burden of office finally took its toll. He died at his retreat at Warm Springs, Georgia of a massive cerebral hemorrhage. Truman was his vice president and on notification of Roosevelt’s death he found himself as America’s war-time leader.

When Truman took office he had no idea of exactly where the United States stood as far as foreign relations regarding Russia, England, France or China, or anything to do with the atomic bomb which was nearly ready for warfare. The war with Japan was raging and the United States was preparing for a bloody high casualty assault on mainland Japan following the invasion of Okinawa.

After Truman was finally briefed on the atomic bomb he made no concessions; Japan was to immediately quit the war or the bomb would be dropped. He had no intentions of spilling American blood trying to invade the Japanese homeland. So, the order was made and a B-29 bomber named the “Enola Gay,” piloted by Col. Paul Tibbets, flew over Hiroshima and dropped the first nuclear bomb in history thus opening Pandora’s Box.

A few days later when the Japanese government refused to surrender a second B-29 piloted by Maj. Charles Sweeney flew over Nagasaki and dropped another atomic bomb. The estimated deaths of those who died in the explosions rose to a number of more than 199,000.

Truman had no regrets about his decision to the use of atomic bombs. Military experts believed that in order for America to invade Japan U.S. loses would have reached at least a million causalities.

When the bombs were dropped there was a sense of euphoria that quickly passed when the number of Japanese deaths was reported.

And that was when Truman started to lose the support of the American people. Coupled with the ending of war thousands of servicemen returned home to an insecure future. There was no housing, no jobs and no idea of where the nation was heading in its post war years.

The ironic thing was that in 1948 when Truman ran against Dewey it was expected that this untried former vice-president who was never elected to the presidency would be easily defeated. But something stirred the heart of the American people; they were willing on going along with this brash, sometimes foul-mouthed, stubborn man and trust him to continue to lead. With that election history was rewritten when the “silent majority” showed up at the polls and contrary to everyone’s expectation, Truman returned to office.

But things are different today. In our present we have an elite group of politicians, an arrogant self-serving media and an inbred system of corruption never before seen in former times. There is no such thing as “America for Americans” anymore and regardless of the scandals, lies and political double talk by Hillary Clinton, our country’s citizens seem to hold to the old idea that “anything goes,” is alright.

It seems that Americans have little or no regard where the country is heading. Yet some 74 per cent say that we are heading in the wrong direction but seem willing to continue down the same old path even though the consequences may prove disastrous.

And there are those who say they are disgusted with both candidates but still not sure where they stand on Election Day. But there is a buzz in the background; in Florida early Republican voters casting their ballots outnumber the Democrats. Trump who gathers thousands at his events continues to be popular with the masses. How many of these folks will show up on November 8? Most of them it is believed.

It will be interesting to see if the “silent majority” shows up in enough numbers to make a difference. This could be another “1948.”

WILL THE THIRD DEBATE BE A KNOCKOUT PUNCH?

With the third and final Presidential debate only hours away who wins is paramount. Donald Trump is trailing in the polls and is hampered by unsupported allegations by nine women claiming he made inappropriate sexual advances to them. This strategy by the Clinton campaign is keeping him on the defense.

On the other side however are the WikiLeaks revelation of Hillary Clinton’s email scandals that show how deep her corruption runs such as how she has continued to lie to the American people regarding her numerous cover-up attempts to destroy evidence requested by Congress, destruction of cel phones and other unlawful activity. As Secretary of State she violated her oath of office as proven by the Congressional Benghazi hearings, the “pay to play” money paid to the Clinton Foundation by foreign interests, and much more.

As far as Trump is concerned Hillary Clinton attacks him on a single point—his temperament! This includes the infamous tape of his vulgar comments to Billy Bush about women which allegedly makes him out as nothing but a sex-crazed goon. It’s interesting to note that the women making the accusations surfaced in a coordinated fashion just before election time and none of them ever filed a police report. If any of the claims are true it’s impossible to prove at this point of the campaign.

So the American people have a choice; do they want a proven, corrupt lying professional politician who has managed to accumulate a fortune at the people’s expense or do they want someone who has honestly earned their wealth by creating thousands of jobs, actually built things and proved his success in business but happens to like beautiful women?

The real problem with Trump is he is not an insider,

Many Republicans who make a living time after time again with promises of great things (and never seem able to deliver) belong to the outfit known as “The Grand Old Party.” Maybe it is time that those folks who belong in either party (the Democrats) who seek their individual power and fortune over others need to be replaced.

It’s just a thought.

The America people selected Trump over numerous other candidates for a reason. They want their country to take another direction and they are tired of the same old political hacks coming around every two to four years asking for their votes. True there are some in political office who do care for the country and the people but they appear to be few in number.

“Lawmaker” is the title those in office cherish. Their main job is passing laws. It seems little matter if the law is good or bad. As long as it is a law then they did their job! And this is what Clinton cherishes. She makes no bones that she is in favor of a One World Government, restriction on religion, more liberal abortion including late term, continuation of Obama Care, and much more.

Her idea is the subjection of the American people to her views. And the outcome is more power and wealth for her and her husband Bill.

Trump on the other hand is something else. Money isn’t his goal—he has plenty of it and he has proved that he is willing to spend his own fortune on his campaign without dinging the people. He now accepts donated money and is grateful for it. But in comparison to Clinton who has not spent a dime of her own money to run for the presidency, he also has proved a deep love and appreciation of the average guy and gal who are trying to stay alive in a stagnant economy.

Listening to people being interviewed on television gives you an idea of how far from reality the majority of those questioned are. Some can’t even identify who the current vice-president is. Asked why they would vote for Clinton many of the college kids say that it is time for a women president! Issues never seem to attract their attention.

Yet with the world in the condition it is in, the threat of war exploding beyond the borders of the Middle East, ISSIS running wild, radicalized terrorists killing innocent people throughout the world even within our own country then what is the solution? Trump wants to make America great again; Clinton wants to continue down the path that has led to nothing but one disaster after another!

So the clock ticks. Every hour brings us closer to Election Day giving voters the choice between someone who wants to continue down the current path to nowhere or the selection of someone who wants to answer the cry of the American people to make a change for the better.

This last debate will center on personality and insults by Clinton who will drudge up unfounded assaults against Trump and do everything within her power to dodge issues that are most important to the well being and safety of the United States. Trump, however, may be gearing up to deliver a knockout blow that will force people to wake up and smell the roses! Personality defect is one thing but corruption of office is another and Clinton has plenty of experience in that field.

HE WHO IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE

The disclosure of a video of Donald Trump making disgusting and vulgar comments about a female host has smothered every major news outlet in the country since last Friday. Last night, October 9, at the outset of the second Presidential debate he stepped up to the plate taking responsibility and apologizing to the American people.

That should have been the end of it but the left-leaning media won’t let go even though the incident happened more than 10 years ago. People change. Who we are now, compared with the person we were a decade ago, isn’t the same person. That applies to everyone!

Smacking with self justification and posing as leaders of moral purity the beat goes on within the Republican Party. Hypocritical positions, it should be noted taken by these folks, is no stranger to the truth of the matter. It would be interesting to know the number of these self righteous critics gloating about the tape who are secretly guilty of the same sin.

What comes to mind is when Jesus Himself, who was confronted by a mob on the verge of stoning a prostitute, was asked if he justified the killing? In response he said,”…He who is without sin cast the first stone.” The mob dropped their stones and quietly dispersed and the woman was spared.

Can Trump’s comments be justified? No. Does he regret the comments? Apparently yes. Has he learned a tough lesson? No doubt. But all of that is the frailty of a human being. There is nobody on earth who hasn’t said or thought much the same thing—and in reflection all of us are ashamed of such lack of virtue.

Yet the media won’t let go. And it can be assured that this is only the tip of what Clinton and her campaign have managed to dig up. She can’t run on policy or accomplishments. She can only rely on slandering opponents—and at that she is very good!

But what is more interesting are the pious, righteous, pure politicians of the Republican Party who had thrown their candidate under the bus. It all started at the conclusion of the National Convention when Trump was named as the Party’s candidate. Those self-righteous contenders as Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich and Congressional Majority Leader Paul Ryan, along with numerous other RINO’s, climbed aboard the “dump Trump” train with the intention of destroying any chance of Trump’s winning the Presidential election.

These hacks believe that rather than the American people select their candidate they, the Party, are the ones who make such a selection! That’s how the party wound up with such folks as Bob Dole and John McCain as the Republican nomination for Presidency. It mattered little that both of these men were completely unqualified for the job. It mattered little that the election of Obama would cause such harm to the United States. The party believed that the nomination was owed to them for their loyalty and service to the party! Nuts to the people—they ran the show so take it or leave it!

Today some 74 per cent of the American people believe the country is going the wrong way. The economy is stiffened, the Mideast is falling apart, terrorists have now invaded every major government in the world and the threat of nuclear war is on the horizon. But we should  not worry; the party hacks of both parties have everything under control. Also Santa Claus is comfortable at the North Pole making toys for Christmas, the Easter Bunny is saving eggs for distribution this Easter and the Tooth Fairy is taking a course in tooth extraction.

And then came along Trump! When he announced he was running as a candidate he was buffowed by the press, political “experts,” television commentators and radio critics. But everyone forgot one following—the American people.

His approach to common sense, straight talk and true solutions to the nation’s problems has attracted people who have never voted (because of distrust of politicians), those who stopped voting because the candidates put before them didn’t agree with their beliefs of where the country should be going or those who simply believe all politicians are crooks!

In Hillary’s case this is true.

As a non politician the Republican Party couldn’t believe Trump could pull it off. But he did. One high ranking congressman spouted on national television that it isn’t the people who nominate a candidate, it’s the party! The people have nothing to say about it!

When this news hit the television and print newspapers the people were astounded. Why vote for a candidate? If the fix is in where does that leave the people? And then there is the issue of illegal voting. The Democrats have depended on graveyard votes ever sense their party was founded. That’s why they are so desperate to allow illegal immigration. If given amnesty these same illegals will vote for their candidates and when that happens you can kiss goodbye to the Republican or any other opposition party. At least that is their hope and Hillary is all in favor of it.

In less than a month the decision will be made. If the American people are so offended by some locker room comments rather than the actions of a former Secretary of State who has time upon time put America in harm’s way at the loss of thousands of innocent people, someone who claims that when she and her adulterous husband left the White House broke, and within a year was worth millions, who has constantly lied to the American people and besmirched her enemies while continuing to cover-up her own incompetency, then all that can be said is—you asked for it!

THE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE--ONE DOWN TWO TO GO

The big night everyone was looking forward to is now over and the results of the Clinton-Trump Presidential debate is still being debated. Who won is a matter of personal opinion—and political leanings. Over 84 million people gave up Monday Night Football to watch the two spar off on national television and many felt disappointed.

Following the contemptuous battle for the minds and hearts of the American people major polls give the edge to Hillary Clinton. Apparently her concealed charm took center stage. She managed to appear calm, smiling and adroitly able to dodge the soft-ball questions put to her by noted liberal newscaster Lester Holt. On the other side Donald Trump might have increased his position if he had gone for Clinton’s throat but appeared to be reluctant to take advantage of the opportunities. She managed to leave open doors that normally would have been an invitation for defeat but Trump, for whatever reason didn’t take advantage.

In addition the moderator, Holt, riddled Trump with insignificant questions as to President Obama’s place of birth (the “birther” nonsense), his tax returns and other topics that have little to do with the various crisis and issues America is facing today.

Holt, holding to his left leanings, never questioned Clinton about her email scandal, Libya, the Clinton Foundation or any other subject that she has come under fire. No questions regarding her time with the Rose Law Firm, her relationship with Vince Foster, her making a ton of money with a $1,000 venture into the futures cattle market (her first experience ever by the way), and a list of other allegations that previously came under public scrutiny but were buried by political pressure. Like her husband Bill, she wore a coat of Teflon.

The rules that apply to ordinary people are sharply disregarded when it comes to the Clinton’s.

The points Trump tried to present were valid. When Hillary attacked him for not providing his tax returns (which by the way the majority of the American people couldn’t give a hoot about), he countered by saying he would instruct his attorneys to provide the tax records just as soon as Hillary produced the 33,000 deleted emails she had destroyed.

And on and on it went for 90 minutes. Was anything of value revealed?” No. Was any issue of any value to American security? No. Was a complete truthful admission of alleged offences by either party proven? No.

Frankly the weak presentation can be put to the feet of Lester Holt. He was completely ill prepared—or he simply didn’t want to score any attacks effecting Hillary. Who knows other than to examine the questions asked of both participants. It was recorded that Holt interrupted Trump some 40 plus times and Clinton only seven. Holt appeared argumentative when dealing with Trump but condescending with Clinton.

Maybe it was the perfume she was wearing.

But now there are two more debates to be held. No question Trump will spend some time licking his wounds but he is no fool. You can bet your bottom dollar he will be better prepared for the next bout.

Yet even at that how will the majority of news outlets—both print and television—cover the next debate?

There was a time when journalists held true to the facts. They relied on the “who, what, where, when,” when covering a story. But today it is much different. Bias is blazed across headlines, reporter’s opinion take precedent and what is supposed to read as news actually comes out more like a feature story.

We make no bones as to our position in this column. We are conservatives. But in fairness we try to be honest in presenting the facts.

For the sake of our country it is paramount that the American people judge these two candidates on their varsity, talent and love of country. Admittedly when Trump first came on the scene we were reluctant to take him seriously. His past record as a Democrat with liberal leanings scared a lot of folks including this writer. But on closer examination much came out as to his beliefs, patriotism and sincerity. Like he said; he doesn’t need the money he is interested only in the greatness of the United States and what the country can look forward to in the future. As for Hillary, well, everyone knows her record!

If America continues down the road it has traveled for the past 20 years the nation has little hope of remaining a world power. Our security will be further compromised and our economy will be in the tank. The bitter pill of depression looms on what this election is all about. Our military is reduced to levels lower then when the United States was attacked by Japan, December 7, 1941. Today it seems our love of country is reduced to “what can I get?”

And truth and honesty in government is an oxymoron.

Let’s see what comes with the second debate. But fair warning; hold your breath!

CLINTON'S HEALTH ISN'T HER ONLY PROBLEM

Hillary Clinton’s near collapse into the arms of Secret Service Agents as she attempted to enter her van last Sunday at the 9-11 memorial service at Manhattan, N.Y., sent shock waves throughout Democratic Party. Clinton, whose aids originally said was the result of “heat exhaustion,” turned out to be much more serious than everyone thought.

It finally came out, after spinning a lot of garbage in an attempt to cover up Clinton’s illness that she was suffering from bacterial pneumonia, everything came to a head when she stumbled and nearly fainted. What is worse is that her doctor, Dr. Lisa R. Barback, M.D., diagnosed her condition a few days earlier but the illness was kept from the public. Yet this is not the first time Clinton’s health has come under scrutiny. Apparently she has a history of episodes where she faints and falls. It is on record her one fall resulted in a small blood clot that entered her brain and now requires medication to control clots.

Everyone wishes her well including her opponent for the Presidency of the United States, Donald Trump. He has had the class not to attack Clinton’s medical misfortune. But what resulted in the real problem for Clinton is her attempt to hide and dodge her illness. Rather than admit to the American public that she was suffering from pneumonia she, as in the past regarding other suspected actions, decided to try to again deceive everyone. All this adds up to her reputation for dishonesty.

With this current medical problem it was allegedly reported that there was secret whispering at the top of the Democratic hierarchy that maybe it might be necessary to replace her on the ticket. How that would come about is anyone’s guess. The probability of such a thing actually happening goes beyond remote—Clinton with her dying breath would never give up and anyone trying to replace her would be crushed like a bug. And the Clinton’s are masters at killing bugs! Ask Vince Foster if he could speak from the grave.

Trump, to his credit, did the smart thing by releasing his own medical records. Here is a guy at age 70, who campaigns like the energizer bunny—he just keeps going and going. His stamina and energy is remarkable. Most folks half his age couldn’t keep up with his schedule.

And now the polls are starting to reflect his efforts. The latest national polls show that Trump has moved ahead in many states and is now giving Clinton a run for her money in the key states. If he continues to make these types of strides then he can easily claim Bill Clinton’s title as “the comeback kid.”

But Hillary’s problems aren’t confined to just the medical issues.

The Congressional Committee on Hillary’s email scandal is pressing forward with a vengeance. Republican Chairman Jason Chaffey isn’t about to give up on getting all the “lost” or “misplaced” emails that were earlier demanded by the committee. A few days ago four of Clinton’s private server employees were ordered to appear before the committee. Only three showed up and all took the Fifth Amendment not to testify. The question should be, “…if you did nothing illegal then why not cooperate and tell the committee the truth?

The fourth witness, Brian Pagliano, decided to thumb his nose at the committee and refuse to show up. This may not have been a good idea; Chairman Chaffey indicated that several options were open that could make life very, very miserable for the recalcitrant witness including contempt of Congress.

One witness who did show up and not take the Fifth was Justin Cooper, a high ranking former Hillary aide. His testimony revealed that he personally had taken a hammer and destroyed several cell phones that had incriminating evidence. These devices were destroyed beyond any ability to secure any information that was in their memory bank.

Watching the hearing one couldn’t be more disgusted than the blatant interference of the Democrat co-chairman, Elijah Cummings, who repeatedly tried to derail queries by committee members. His usual smoke and mirrors comments ranged from “…witch hunt,” to “…nothing new.” You would think that any congressman, Democrat or Republican would be interested in seeking the truth for the benefit of the American people. But this is an illusion. It seems politicians are more interested in protecting their power base than what is best for our country.

But as the campaign continues more and more Americans are taking interest. They are beginning to see through the lies, dodging and efforts of Clinton to continue to mislead them. Like the old adage; “…you can fool some the people some of the time or fool some of the people all the time but you can’t fool all the people all the time!”

Week by week Trump’s momentum builds. His tone sounds more “presidential,” his ideas are beginning to catch on and people are massing to his appearances. What he says makes sense and Americans are beginning to take notice. If he continues to keep on message then by November 8, don’t be surprised who walks off with the big win.

We shall see what we shall see.
